Hi Spooky.
Regarding this version,
Could you tell me how I can proceed with the kernel update? I installed a new version but I can’t boot it. I gave u-boot-install and the sequence in the file /boot/extlinux/extlinux.conf is correct, maybe I have to use mkimage first? In this case, do you have any instructions on how to correctly use mkimage to create a u-boot image to flash via u-boot-install?
Thanks a lot.
Another thing.
I tried both 22.04 and 24.04. I think I’m not wrong in saying that initially 22.04 correctly recognized its peripheral located on the M.2 of the ClusterBox backboard, following a simple upgrade of Ubuntu I lost its presence in the system; if I’m not mistaken (but I think not) this happened twice in a row (reinstallation from scratch). 24.04 instead did not even give me this satisfaction. Do you think the problem can be solved by correctly inserting the Mixtile modules, perhaps together with the entire 5.10.66 kernel?
I don’t have the cluster box, the company offered me one for testing / development at one point but never actually gave me it. I’m not spending a few thousand dollars on the hardware, I’m 99% sure there are drivers missing, but again I don’t have the hardware so I cannot help you.
Sorry, I’m testing on all platforms. Do you mean that once I give ubuntu-rockchip-install /dev/mmcblk subsequent kernel updates will take effect? So for a kernel update to be successful I have to get to work on mmc? Otherwise:
Can you please give me some instructions on how to use mkimage? I see there is an rksd option which I think allows you to install uboot on sd. What parameters should I pass exactly?
Thanks
Sorry
Spooky, (hello dear) do you have the sources of the 6.1.0-1016-rockchip kernel at hand?
It seems to me that the official build.sh https://github.com/mixtile-rockchip/ubuntu-rockchip is compiling the kernel 6.1.0.1027 without icecc.
Honestly: I need the ZFS modules (and who knows what else(((…), Does anyone have the link with the comparison table of the support level for compatible kernels? I’m going away for a while to be consoled by Armbian guys!
