On the double ethernet port of all of my Blade 3 nodes, the status LEDs (two for each port) remain dark after inserting the plug of a cat 6 cable into one of the ports (and the other one into a switch). The network interface itself does work, so this issue at least not a blocker, but the dead LEDs make debugging the network harder than necessary.
As this problem occurs on all four nodes I’ve got, a broken LED seems not to be the cause. What’s wrong here?
Yes, I’m experiencing the same issue.
I connected all Blade 3 nodes using 2.5G Ethernet, but the link LEDs on the ports do not light up at all. The interfaces themselves seem to work, but the LEDs remain completely dark on all nodes.
What I’ve also found out: When using both LAN ports (in fact, I combined them into a bond and attached them to the same switch), the total transfer speed is only 2.5 Gbit/sec. I’ll expect 5 Gbit/sec unless the link from the CPU to the ports is 2.5 Gbit/sec only.
