Firmware problems with installing debian 11

I have followed the instructions for installing debian 11 from linux platform .
The upgrade tool sees the device:
dligon@mpdr-control:~/Downloads$ adb shell
mixtile_edge2:/ $ reboot loader
dligon@mpdr-control:~/Downloads$ upgrade_tool ld
List of rockusb connected(1)
DevNo=1 Vid=0x2207,Pid=0x350a,LocationID=32 Mode=Loader SerialNo=2232021600137

using upgrade tool I get:
dligon@mpdr-control:~/Downloads$ sudo upgrade_tool uf image-release-rockchip-format-mixtile-edge2-debian11-20240909.img
Loading firmware…
Loading firmware failed!
Note:invalid tag of firmware,please check firmware

How do I fix this?

Could you check if the image file is correct after download? The md5 should be MD5 (/Users/bobby/Downloads/image-release-rockchip-format-mixtile-edge2-debian11-20240909.img) = 1d2676557e83c79224ac81d7e74b3c02
It’s suggested that you check if the USB cable connection is stable when downloading the image.
We confirmed the image could be updated to Edge 2 successfully.

my download from the link provided in your website (after unzipping) is:

SHA256 hash of C:\Users\david.ligon\OneDrive - US Army\personal_folder\image-release-rockchip-format-mixtile-edge2-debian11-20240909.img\image-release-rockchip-format-mixtile-edge2-debian11-20240909.img:

CertUtil: -hashfile command completed successfully.

sorry, looking at wrong file… checksum is the same.
will check cable…
