When an OS shutdown is initiated on a Blade 3 running in a Cluster Box, the OS shutdown procedure completes but the Blade 3 never restarts. Can the firmware be updated to address this?
Hi JGiszczak, restarting the Blade 3 using its serial console might cause it to get stuck in the boot process. This is due to some electrical noise affecting the Blade 3’s power management chip (PMIC), which a firmware update unfortunately can’t fix. To avoid this issue, we recommend using the “nodectl reboot -n N” command of Cluster Box instead for restarting the Blade 3.
